About us

Welcome to a unique blend of passion, flavor, and excitement at Curly's Sports and Supplements & The Amherst Candy Shoppe, where our journey and your experience intertwine to create something truly special.

**Our Story:**
Founded in 2019, our journey began as Curly's Sports and Supplements, nestled in the spacious and historic Dayle's Grand Market building in Amherst, a vibrant community in Cumberland County. Quickly, we established ourselves as the premier destination for supplements in both Cumberland and Westmoreland counties.

In 2021, amidst the challenges of Covid retail shutdowns, an opportunity arose to expand our horizons. The Balcony Candy Shoppe was born, a sweet haven that offered a sprinkle of joy during tough times. As our businesses flourished, we brought both stores together. In 2026, Curly's moved into its new store at 81 South Albion Street, bringing Health, Hype, and Happiness into the next chapter.

**What We Offer:**
Today, we stand as a testament to diversity and quality. Our store is a tapestry of products, each side telling its own story.

- **Curly's Sports and Supplements:** This side of the store is a haven for health and fitness enthusiasts. From the latest in supplements to a wide range of health products, we cater to every aspect of your wellness journey. Our pride shines through in our selection of Curly's branded clothing, embodying the spirit of health and vitality.

- **The Amherst Candy Shoppe:** Formerly the Balcony Candy Shoppe, this side is a treasure trove of nostalgia and novelty. It's a world filled with the finest selection of nostalgic candies from various countries, an impressive array of Funko Pops, and an unbeatable collection of Pokemon and sports trading cards. Whether you're a collector or a candy connoisseur, this side of the store promises a delightful experience.

**Our Evolution:**
As an official retailer for a variety of trading cards, we've become the go-to destination for Pokemon cards, Funko Pops, and sports trading cards, including Hockey, Football, Basketball, Baseball, and Soccer. Our commitment to providing a wide variety of products under one roof sets us apart.

**Our Brands:**
Operating under two brands, Curly's Sports and Supplements and The Amherst Candy Shoppe, we offer a dual experience that caters to diverse tastes and interests. While 'Curly's' resonates with our roots in sports and health, 'The Amherst Candy Shoppe' captures the essence of our delightful and whimsical side.

**Our Promise:**
At the heart of our business is a commitment to variety, quality, and a unique shopping experience. Whether you know us as Curly's, The Amherst Candy Shoppe, or simply that amazing store with everything you could imagine, we're here to make each visit memorable.

Join us in our journey, where health meets happiness, and every visit is an adventure waiting to happen!
